The Mexican Dueña by Jasmina Nevada, self published book

The Mexican Dueña is based on a true story. Two señoritas impressed by a tropical location on their travels, decide to return a few years later, to embark on a new beginning in the sun. However all does not go to plan, as they face the wrath of landlords and landowners (dueñas), and they face events they could not have envisaged in theory search for paradise.

But wait I hear you ask. The blogger, interviewer, freelance media, actress etc.. writing about her professional endeavours!? Yes, you read correctly.

The reason I took this route, was that a true story had been written as a screenplay, with intentions for a film, but was placed on my virtual shelf for a few years. A discussion here a negotiation there, only spanners in the works, no film or prospect of such..

So the mind boggles.. And one day.. I decided self publishing was the route and journey I took to get the story out worldwide and be seen.

But it is not as simple as 1, 2, 3. I suddenly realised that I would have to put my potentials to the test. Learn new skills, from graphic design, designing a book cover, adapting back to writing in book form, understanding formats between jpeg, epub etc and conversion techniques.

Oh the path to providence has just begun!

My short ebook is available on Kobo Books, the price reflects the efforts as an almost solo multitasking entrepreneur to achieve the result :-

I shall write further on this, as the marketing journey is still in process post publishing
