A blog post would not be complete without a little about the blogger, past endeavours which led me to the path of my present ones. I freelanced as film media in Hollywood and beyond. Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival 2019 (LALIFF) reveals Film Slate relevant to today's filmmaking and issues between US/Latin America

Academy Award® nominated actor Edward James Olmos today announced the program that will be featured at the 2019 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) which runs Wednesday, July 31 through Sunday, August 4 at the TCL Chinese Theatres.  As the largest Latinx film festival to be hosted in Los Angeles, this year the festival will shine a spotlight on US-born Latinx filmmakers. This year’s program includes 15 features, 17 shorts, five episodics, two special events and two Latinx podcasts live from the festival. This year’s program will open with Cristina Ibarra and Alex Rivera’s The Infiltrators, which won the Audience Award: NEXT and The NEXT Innovator Prize at Sundance earlier this year.  The film, a mixture of documentary and narrative, focuses on a real-life rag-tag group of undocumented youth – Dreamers – that get deliberately detained by Border Patrol in order to infiltrate a shadowy, for-profit detention center. AFI Fest 2014, Bold New Auteurs, Shorts, and American Independents films

AFI FEST 2014  presented by Audi, a program of the American Film Institute, announced the films that will be  featured during this years Film Festival which takes place November 6th to 13th November 2013 in the categories of New Auteurs, Shorts and American Independents.  The New Auteurs and Shorts sections both showcase filmmakers from around the world; the New  Auteurs section highlights first and second-time feature film directors and the Shorts selections  represent diverse and varied international perspectives. The Shorts program this year features a full  program of animated films in addition to a program of midnight shorts.  Both sections are juried and  are available for the Grand Jury Awards. Hollyshorts Film Festival 2013 - to open with First Ever Feature Film - David Rodriguez Star Studded Indie - Last I Heard

For the first time in the festival's history the HollyShorts Film Festival, Hollywood, Los Angeles California, USA, will open with a feature film. SOLmont Events, the organizers behind HollyShorts announced today that festival alumni David Rodriguez' star-studded dramedy LAST I HEARD will receive its official Los Angeles premiere as the fests first-ever opening feature film with a special event screening on Thursday August 15, 2013 at the TCL Chinese Theatre. LAST I HEARD stars Paul Sorvino, Michael Rappaport, Renee Props, Andrea Nittoli, and Lev Gorn. AFI FEST 2013 presented by Audi - dates announced and call for film entries

I recall my attendance as freelance Press at the wonderful AFI FEST 2011 presented by AUDI, in Hollywood, California,where I swanked between the venues of the Chinese Theater, and the famous Hollywood Rooselvelt Hotel, to attend this wonderful Film Festival and view the wonderful slate of films that were on offer.The hospitality by the Festival was wonderful and of course the best part of the festival was that the public were able to see films for free. I highly recommend this year's AFI FEST 2013 presented by AUDI Film Festival to filmmakers, film enthusiasts and the general public alike. I had the privilege of some red carpet action with Luc Besson, Michele Yeoh and the cast on the red carpet at the Chinese theater's premiere of 'The Lady'.
